Lela Star was and still is considered as one of the best porn stars of this generation, unfrotunatley her appearances were to be short lived, as in 2011, just five years after starting her career she announced she was retiring.
The retirement news shocked many, and especially in the way that she did it, as it was done over the social network platform Twitter. The news was to tell her avid fans that she had got married and wanted to start a new life with her new husband and enjoy their time together without the need to do any more films.
Lela had become popular since her introduction into the adult entertainment industry mainly beacuse of tiny, but buxom frame and her cuban look which attracted many. With such a small frame at only 5ft 1 and weighing just 7st, she was still able to show some shape to her body and breasts. Now fo rher fans they will have to find her best films and videos and treaseure them, like so many former porn stars that retire their films go into extinction.
Lela was born in Florida, and named as Danielle Nicole Alonso, in 1985, she grew up in Miami with the rest of her fmaily ,but moved to LA, like most other people wanting to find their fame and fortune in the limelight. So in 2006 she was spotted by Jim South, who became her agent and he set up her first role, working on Barely Legal 18th Birthday, which was produced by Hustler.
Under the management of South, Lela appeared in around 40 roles, which many of them were hardcore explicit performances and films, the companies that she worked with during this time were:

She then landed another big break in the industry in June 2007 when she was signed to be a contract girl to ClubJenna, a production company run by Jenna Jameson a fellow porn star actress with a huge following and fan base. Due to this move Lela was to appear in many more films, in fact the total is nearing 250.
Since her start in the many various roles that she has undertaken, she was nominated and even achieved awards from the top major adult industry based award companies, these were:
· Best latin starlet in 2007 from Adam Film World
· A second nomination for best starlet in 2007 this time from NightMoves
· In 2010 she was nominated for best all girl scene for Not Monday Night Football XXX by AVN
· Another nomination from AVN in 2010 was for best group sex, for her role in Out Numbered
· Lela also achieved the title of Penthouse, Pet of the month for July, 2010
In her short time in the porn industry Lela definatley made a name for herself, and it will be a shame to know that we will not see her in anything new.
